Block printing is a method of printing textiles by stamping ink/paint-dipped blocks—usually made from wood or linoleum—onto fabric.
The wood carved blocks are usually hand carved by artisans and the technique is famous in western parts of India like Jaipur, Bagru and may other parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat.
We will walk you through the basics of printing with wooden blocks and the historical relevance of the same. You will learn various printing techniques and will be able to express yourself creatively.
