About the host

Hi I'm Rachel and I love having a laugh with rude words & stitching. I can't wait to share it with you & spread the (rude) word.

I've been making my own rude tea towels for a while now & a friend suggested I run workshops & they've proved really popular - yay! I've been doing the workshops for about a year & am just starting them again after a break over the summer.

In every day life I am a seamstress & run a business making & mending clothes, accessories & making things to sell at the market. I also founded a friendly stitchy craft group.

I've been sewing & crocheting since I was about eight & I can't see myself stopping. I'd love to make my own whole outfit....I'm v v slowly getting there.

I'm very much looking forward to welcoming you to my workshops for a bit of a laugh & a very unique experience.

Places we'll visit

The venue you will be doing your workshop in is the beautiful Grow in trendy Hackney Wick & you can enjoy their canal side garden terrace, mezzanine with a view, upcycled greenhouse or inside (a converted  sausage factory warehouse}.

Grow also hosts live music, performances or a cosy corner for brunch, lunch, coffee and chat or DJs into the night. Whatever you’re after, Grow provides an escape from the hustle and bustle of busy city life.

Stay on after the workshop or browse Grow's website to find out what's on the day of this experience and why not stay for a gig or something else fun for you & your friends.

Fee free to order food & drink: a middle-eastern and Mediterranean inspired sustainable menu and selected signature drinks. Once you have booked your workshop ticket, you will be able to pre-book a glass of organic prosecco or kombucha plus a meal
