Looking for ways to increase your self-awareness, carve out time for yourself and learn a new skill in a peaceful atmosphere? Then join Aggy from Knots and Stalks, for her well-being workshops, where you will unlearn old habitual patterns through the practice of the art of macramé, contemplate the inner dialogue and enjoy a healing sound bath that will help you drop into a meditative state.
Detailed description:During each workshop after grounding exercises you will be working on a macramé mandala which can be used as a wall piece or a table decoration. The focus of the meeting is the meditative process of making, affecting the purification and healing, rather than the finished item. You can dedicate your practice to a specific chakra you'd like to focus on by setting an intention and choosing an appropriate cord colour (guides will be provided). The process is enhanced by a Tibetan singing bowl and gong bath which helps you enter the deeply relaxing alpha brain waves and connect to your subconscious. You're also welcome to take a moment to consult tarot and oracle cards about matter you're facing in your life.
**What to expect:**
- The three-hour workshop will start with a grounding meditation
- The opportunity to set your intention for the session
- You’ll learn the process of knotting techniques and enter the meditative process of pattern making
- You’ll be bathed in the sounds of therapeutic Tibetan singing bowls and other harmonic instruments
- Vegan snacks
- Your own macramé creation to take home
- Tarot and oracle cards will be available if you’d like to use them
Hi! I'm Aggy Rucin. I'm a macramé tutor and a sound therapist who uses both techniques to help my clients learn new skills, develop introspection and self-esteem, and enter therapeutic brain waves and meditative states. From stimulating macramé workshops to relaxing sound baths, I cover a spectrum of activities incorporating creative crafts, tarot cards and practices such as sharing circle. My background is in ecology and nature conservation, so I facilitate nature connection experiences.
This workshop takes place in the Prior Shop Workshop in central Bristol.
