Dive into your spiritual side, carve your own unique tarot card design, and print onto a beautiful selection of paper. Artist printmaker Rachel Evans will guide you through each step of this fascinating and absorbing technique.

Detailed description:

Linocut is a fantastic technique as an introduction to printmaking and for creating bold and interesting images, lending itself perfectly to tarot designs. Unwind, take a deep dive into your creativity and follow your intuition. On this workshop you will design, carve and print your own tarot card prints, burnishing by hand with a variety of beautiful Japanese and western papers to choose from. Rachel will guide you through every step of the way: design, carving and printing and will demonstrate each step of the process. These workshops are open to complete beginners as well as those who have some experience. Open to ages 16+. All materials are provided.

About the host

Hi! I'm Rach, an artist printmaker and workshop facilitator with a decade of experience. I love sharing my passion for printmaking through intimate, relaxing and playful workshops where I can encourage and guide you through each process. Watching people gain confidence, embrace their creativity and be so proud of what they have achieved at the end of each workshop is what it's all about.

Places we'll visit

The Village Hall on Deansgate Mews is a perfect setting for a workshop. This community space is bright, airy and spacious, with kitchen and toilet facilities on the same floor and is also accessible by lift. Located along the side of the beautiful Great Northern Warehouse, this city centre venue is very well linked to local transport, and is perfectly placed for exploring the city before or after the workshop has finished.
