Enjoy the art of knotting in a welcoming, sociable space! Be creative, get crafty and learn something new. You'll be able to choose from 9 colours of cotton and a range of colourful wooden beads to crate your own unique colour combination. This workshop is suitable for beginners and you will be supported through every step to create a fantastic macrame plant hanger. Your host, Emma Rogers has 20 years experience of teaching and has been creating macrame pieces for over 5 years.
I’m Emma Rogers and macrame is my passion! I absolutely love creating pieces using the historic art of macrame and I want to spread the macrame joy by introducing it to others! My speciality is using bold colours and beautiful colourful wooden beads to create macrame which adds a pop of colour to your home. Macrame is a meditative, relaxing and fun craft, plus it can have a positive impact on well-being because it calms the mind and is therapeutic.

You will work from a rail but can also sit down and knot if you'd like.

Learning macrame involves standing at a rail and working with your hands to tie knots in pieces of cotton. You can also sit at a chair if this works best. It is suitable for beginners and takes 2 hours of concentration (and is fun!)
