Detailed description:Enjoy a walking tour of Cambridge like no other, led by a local historian with an intimate knowledge of the city and English history. Let us take you back in time to how Cambridge and the University all started. Visiting sites and hearing tales not mentioned in the guidebooks, you will go back in time to medieval Cambridge to discover how the University all started, visiting colleges over 700 years old and hearing their history. Our tours are relaxed, fascinating and full of amusing tales of Cambridge life!
Cambridge is a beautiful city best known for its famous University. We will meet in the city centre outside the 14th-century church Great St Mary's, and you will hear a brief history of how Cambridge grew from its humble Roman origins to what it is today. This is followed by a 90-minute walk around the city, covering a short distance but a lot of information.

Hello, my name is Tim. I run my own tour company called Guide and Peek Cambridge. I came to be a student at Cambridge over 40 years ago. I fell in love with the city then and remain so to this day.
I am a local historian with an intimate knowledge of the City, University Colleges and their colourful alumni. Having taken early retirement, I am now fulfilling my dream of sharing this beautiful city and its quirky facts and stories with others. I set up my tours in 2018 and have received high praise for them as over 500 '5-star' reviews testify!
