About the experience

Experience Duration : 1 hrs 30 mins
Detailed description:

When we talk of our art journey, the materials we use and the way we use them makes all the difference. One of the items we can really be creative with is paper. We can make paper, create decorative paper, use gorgeous paper in innumerable ways for myriads of projects. In this session on ‘paper’ we are going a step further. We’re not just being inspired by nature – we are going to work in tandem with it. Leaves, flowers, fruits, bark – all these and more will be our guiding lights and ‘impressionistic’ friends! Nature’s palette is truly endless. We will begin our magical journey by using petals and leaves of varied colours, shapes and textures – ones which are easily available in our neighbourhood. Eco Printing, Leaf Printing, Botanical Printing, Eco Dyeing … it goes by many different names. In our session we will learn how to print with flowers / leaves and other simple botanicals. It is a process where the natural dye colors from leaves, flowers and other plant material are directly transferred to paper via steaming or boiling. It’s a simple and fun natural dye technique that gives truly stunning results. What can we do with the beautiful paper we’ve created? Here are some ideas… Ideal for greeting cards Business cards Scrapbooking Printer projects Lampshades Wallpaper Table Coverings Framing border Stationery Place Cards Wrapping Paper Origami birds, book marks …endless!
