Join an exciting outdoor sightseeing sports adventure in your host’s hometown. Throw yourself feet-first into hiking and rock-climbing whilst soaking up the amazing views of Rio de Janeiro! What better way to see some magnificent, world-famous landmarks including the Sugarloaf Mountain and the Morro da Urca, than from the best kept secret vantage points that the Brazilian capital city has to offer?!

Beginning on-foot with a scenic hike to get the blood pumping, the route takes my guests up, through and over the Morro da Babilônia. Come fill your appetite for adventure and discovery for 2.5 hours in the city of Rio… in the most authentic way possible: through the eyes of a native, fun-loving guide!

About the host

I’m Gus, and what you call a ‘Carioca’ (Rio ‘local’ or ‘native’).

I’m a trained Personal Trainer with a diploma in Nutrition & Psychology from The University of San Francisco, as well as a certified rock-climbing guide. I love sports activities/concepts with a unique twist that get the adrenaline pumping and take a holistic approach to health. I grew up with a nature & outdoors lifestyle as part of the culture in Brazil, and was lucky to continue enjoying it when studying in California and during a year away on the coast of Southern Italy. I’m an adventure junkie, and luckily adventure seems to always be ready and waiting for me wherever I go!

A mix of nature, health & sport is integral for my wellbeing. Perhaps this is the case for you also? But, if not so much or it’s something you want to explore, I love helping people find this type of balance in their own lifestyles. I believe you can look good and feel good at the same time, but often never one without the other. Taking care of the body and mind, by connecting with the great outdoors is what my approach is all about.

Hosting experiences for 2 years now, I’ve met kindred, inspirational spirits from far & wide. Long may it continue!
